About Powder Hounds Grooming Salon
Powder Hounds Grooming Salon is Steamboat's favorite full service grooming salon for dogs. We are very honored to have been voted in the top Best Pet Groomers in the Steamboat Pilot's "Best of the Boat" survey for the last 11 years 2014-2025 (9 Years at #1!)!
We are located in the shopping center next to Walgreens and UC Urgent Care. The address is 1585 Mid Valley Dr, Unit 6B.
The highly trained team of dog groomers at Powder Hounds works to create strong relationships not only with the humans but also (possibly more importantly) with the dogs. It's important for our clients to feel comfortable leaving their dog with us and to trust that we will give their pet the best haircut for their lifestyle and for the condition of their coat. We also care deeply about the comfort of your pet and do our best to create a relaxed atmosphere in our grooming space. We take our time with each dog to make them feel and look spectacular.

Meet The Team
Lindsey Barr Cejer
Professional Groomer & Salon Owner
Lindsey has been living in Steamboat Springs since 2004 and is happy to call this little slice of paradise home. She received her Professional Groomer's Certification and Animal CPR certification from Dog's Own Grooming Salon in Loveland, CO in 2014. She specializes in grooming and caring for the anxious and slightly reactive dogs and has found great satisfaction from seeing those dogs' behaviors transform with patient and consistent grooming training. She also loves training new groomers! When she's not grooming dogs, she's spending time with her husband and her own rescue dogs, Enzo--a chihuahua/corgi mix and Wheezy-- a mini poodle/terrier mix, traveling (mostly with her dogs), journaling, golfing, baking, or curled up with a good book.
Charlotte Tolliver
Professional Groomer
Charlotte has been working with Powder Hounds for 5 years. She started as a bather and is now trained as a professional groomer. She loves spending her days at work with so many canine friends from all over the Yampa Valley. She has called Steamboat home for the last 8 years and graduated from Kolbe Academy, a homeschool high school in 2025. Charlotte loves all animals, and especially her own two golden doodles , Atticus and Theo. When she's not working, she can be found riding her E-bike around town, helping out at Holy Name Catholic Church, going for walks with Atticus and Theo, and hanging out with her sister.
Janelle Lira
Professional Groomer
Janelle started off working weekends as a bather at Powder Hounds while attending high school. She is now trained as a professional groomer and has found her happy place in grooming dogs. Her favorite dogs to groom are Doodles! When she is not grooming, she is playing with her sweet pit bull, Zephyra, snuggling with her cat Cheech, working on her tattoo art, or spending time with her family in Craig.
Jade Skidmore
Professional Groomer
Jade came to Steamboat from Salem, Oregon. She grew up with many family pets and was dedicated to practicing martial arts for 12 years. She has worked at kennels, dog training facilities, horse ranches, and grooming salons and is happy to call Powder Hounds and Steamboat her home. She is passionate about climbing, camping, hiking and exploring Colorado with her lab/aussie mix named Gypsy. Jade currently loves working on golden retrievers, Aussies, and border collies. But she loves all dogs and can't wait for the opportunity to work on yours!
Courtney Morgan
Junior Groomer
Courtney joined the Powder Hounds Team in 2026 and is currently training to become a professional groomer. Grooming fills her days with joy, and she feels incredibly lucky to spend each day surrounded by dogs. She is passionate about providing a positive, low-stress experience for every pup and enjoys building trust with each one she meets. Her favorite dogs to work with are golden retrievers and other large breeds, though she loves all breeds and personalities. Outside of the salon, Courtney enjoys hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and exploring the Colorado mountains. Having shared a special bond with her own beloved dog, Waffles, she understands how much pets mean to their families and treats every dog in her care as if they were her own. She feels grateful to be part of such a special team at Powder Hounds and looks forward to meeting you and your four legged family members.
