About Powder Hounds Grooming Salon
Powder Hounds Grooming Salon is downtown Steamboat's full service grooming salon for dogs. We are very proud to have been voted in the top 2 Best Pet Groomers in the "Best of the Boat" survey for the last 10 years 2014-2024!
We are located on the corner of 12th St. and Yampa Ave, directly across from Little Toot's Park, tucked up in the trees behind the former Orange Peel Bike Shop. Entrance is in the alleyway and upstairs. There are about a dozen stairs and sorry, there is not an elevator.
The team at Powder Hounds works to create strong relationships not only with the humans but also (possibly more importantly) with the dogs. It's important for our clients to feel comfortable leaving their dog with us and to trust that we will give their pet the best haircut for their lifestyle and for the condition of their coat. We also care deeply about the comfort of your pet and do our best to create a relaxed atmosphere in our grooming space. We take our time with each dog to make them feel and look spectacular.

Lindsey Barr Cejer
Professional Groomer & Salon Owner
Lindsey has been living in Steamboat Springs since 2004 and is happy to call this little slice of paradise home. She received her Professional Groomer's Certification and Animal CPR certification from Dog's Own Grooming Salon in Loveland, CO in 2014. She specializes in grooming and caring for the anxious and slightly reactive dogs and has found great satisfaction from seeing those dogs' behaviors transform with patient and consistent grooming training. She also loves training new groomers. When she's not grooming dogs, she's spending time with her own rescue dogs, Enzo--a chihuahua/corgi mix and Wheezy-- a small terrier mix, traveling, journaling, weightlifting, cooking, or curled up with a good book.
Lindsay Escher Caperton
Professional Groomer
Lindsay (also known as LE or "Ellie") has been grooming for 17 years and it is one of her greatest passions. She moved to Craig, CO from Denver about 6 years ago. Going from city life to mountain woman was a much needed change for her! She likes hiking, camping, and being outdoors and traveling to new places. Most of all she loves making your fur babies look and feel brand new so they can strut their stuff for everyone to admire. She takes care of all her clients as if they were her own and looks forward to making your pup feel awesome!
Charlotte Tolliver
Professional Groomer
Charlotte has been working with Powder Hounds for 3 years, starting as a bather and is now trained as a professional groomer. She loves spending her days at work with so many canine friends from all over the Yampa Valley. She has called Steamboat home for the last 8 years and graduated from Kolbe Academy, a homeschool high school last spring. Charlotte loves all animals, and especially her own golden doodle pup, Atticus. When she's not working, she can be found riding her E-bike around town, helping out at Holy Name Catholic Church, going for walks with Atticus, and hanging out with her sister.
Janelle Lira
Professional Groomer
Janelle started off working weekends as a bather at Powder Hounds 5 years ago while going to high school. She is now trained as a professional groomer and has found her happy place in grooming dogs. Her favorite dogs to groom are golden doodles! When she is not grooming, she is playing with her puppy pit bull, Zephyra, working on her tattoo art, or spending time with her family in Craig.
